Dexter is the Founding Director of the XU Engineering Resource Center at Xavier University. He now serves as XU’s Vice President for Social Development. Dexter is a member of the Association of Structural Engineers of the Philippines, which awarded him the Outstanding Achievement Award in the field of Disaster Management. Among his projects is the Philippines Resilience of School Infrastructures to Multi-Hazard, jointly funded by the British Council and the Philippine Government. He is a collaborator of the UNESCO Chair in Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience Engineering. He is a Science Resilience Fellow of the National Resilience Council.
