Bapentire Donatus Angnuureng

Bio: Senior Research Fellow, ACECoR, University of Cape Coast, Ghana

Bapentire Donatus Angnuureng is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Cape Coast and team lead for Coastal Geomorphology and Engineering at the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR). Donatus has over 10 years of research in coastal processes, geomorphology, shoreline preservation, currents, and the application of nearshore remote sensing for beach monitoring. His research is oriented toward the application of shore-based video and unmanned aerial vehicles (Drones) as complementary Tools for beach studies. He is a scholar of the French IRD-ARTS doctoral program and a National Geographic Explorer. He is has collaborated successfully with several researchers particularly from Ghana, France, Japan, The Netherlands, Benin, Togo, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Cameroon, and Gabon and has mentored several students in coastal studies in some of these countries.
